1964
Jacques ANQUETIL wins the TOUR DE FRANCE for the 5th time, while Raymond POULIDOR takes the 2nd place.
1973
Walter SPANGHERO wins the 5 NATIONS tournament for the 3rd time, and as a captain of the French rugby team.
1979
Kevin KEEGAN receives his 2nd GOLDEN BALL while playing for Hamburg SV.
1985
Michel PLATINI receives his 3rd GOLDEN BALL trophy. Bernard HINAULT wins the TOUR DE FRANCE for the 5th time. Jahangir KHAN is world champion of squash for the 5th time in a row.
1991
Jean-Pierre PAPIN receives the GOLDEN BALL, and wins the European Cup 2 years later with the Olympic of Marseille.

Philippe ALLIOT is one of the 20 best pilots in the F1 Championship.
